We are very excited to announce our new Professional Acting Program starting in January 2013 (Winter Term). This Program will be offered in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels for all ages. The curriculum has been strategically developed by Mina Spremulli, Director of Faҫade Academy, Rob Mauriell – our Acting instructor, as well as reviewed and approved by several industry professionals. These programs are unlike any offered in the industry, and are exclusive to Faҫade Academy. They provide: knowledge, experience, opportunity, exposure, preparation, mentoring, and career development training – all the essential requirements for success in the arts.
We are also proud to announce Faҫade Academy is now working collaboratively with the Vaughan Film Festival and Grand Social Gala this April 2013 to provide our students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, as well as receive awards and scholarships towards their future aspirations. Students will be introduced to all aspects of acting for commercial, film, and television including auditions; have an understanding of what strengths must be present in each area. It is essential that we focus on building confidence, maturity, and an overall comprehension of the art of acting to ensure the student be successful in their craft. This class is recommended for students who are interested in the film industry and want to get a strong head start. (12 weeks)
In this program students will focus on character development and analysis. They will explore various character relationships and will be required to present a monologue. Students will be provided with detailed insight into different facets of the industry including simulated auditions. (12 weeks)
Memorizing lines is an essential requirement for this program level.
– Prerequisite: Beginner Acting –
In Advanced Professional Acting students will cover: in-depth scene studies with advanced content, critiquing one another’s performances, and students will be provided with direction toward creating networking opportunities and career development. In this program students will be prepared to seek an agent, submit a headshot and résumé for auditions, and volunteer in the industry. (12 weeks)
