My name is Tristan Grovu currently enrolled at St. Elizabeth C.H.S., in the Regional Arts Program for the study of Visual Arts.
Throughout my youth, I was always fascinated by mythology and folklore, and enjoyed dedicating my time to reading and learning as much as I could about these fantastical creatures of the mind. I was captivated by Greek myths and the legends of fairy tales, and always enjoyed the sense of wonder that they could bring into even the most ordinary of days. I liked to imagine what I was reading would come off the page and become part of my reality, and they soon became my passion. I was always interested in putting my imaginings to paper, to create something worthy of the mythological creatures I admired so much, and having shown an aptitude for the arts from early on, I was excited to perfect my talent and abilities.
So seeking out improvement, I was enrolled in the Fine Arts Program at Façade Academy of the Arts. There, I learned to work with multiple mediums, and my artistic ability was able to fully develop, allowing me to take on any artistic endeavor that my heart desired. With Mina’s guidance, I was able to put together a strong portfolio, and was soon accepted into the high school of my choice. I was also provided numerous opportunities to showcase my talent, through my involvement in the Vaughan Film Festival. Now I can create actual art, but my journey from excellence is far from complete.
