(Special Interest Program)

We pride ourselves in success toward portfolio preparation and acceptance into high-school, post-secondary and career opportunities. We have the highest success rates in the GTA at getting students acceptance into the programs and academic institutions of their choice *internationally!

Mina Spremulli has been a portfolio specialist since 2003 and her flawless strategy goes un-matched among all schools. These preparations require full dedication from students, so the benefit from one-on-one mentoring toward their goals is an asset. Our portfolio programs are custom to our student’s needs. Students will gain skills and techniques above and beyond those offered in our other programs. Focus on professional presentations, creative development, image consulting, resume/essay writing, branding, curating and design etiquette are included in these programs.

Intermediate Portfolio Art
Portfolio Masters: Junior
Ages 10-13

This specialized program will guide students through proper preparation, practice and presentation of their art portfolio. Students can include previous art work as well as create new pieces as per Mina’s professional recommendations. Students will research all requirements and will be provided with insight into the admittance process. They will consult with Mina during each class and will work toward a timeline to complete all requirements for their application. Students are required to enrol early as preparations require months of hard work.

$39/hr (3 hour class)

*Late Registration Service Fee applied after deadline expires.

Intermediate Portfolio Sewing
Portfolio Masters: Junior
Ages 10-13

This specialized program will guide students through proper preparation, practice and presentation of their fashion portfolio. Students can include previous garments and fashion art as well as create new pieces as per Mina’s professional recommendations. Students will research all requirements and will be provided with insight into the admittance process. They will consult with Mina during each class and will work toward a timeline to complete all requirements for their application. Fashion portfolios require both art and garment components. It is highly recommended that students enrol early and allow for months of preparation.

Portfolio Clinic
A.C.E. Portfolio Masters: Junior
Ages 10+

Our portfolio Clinics program is strategically designed for students who are already enrolled into our Specialized Portfolio Prep Program, who require additional fundamental training in fine arts, mixed media and creative development.

This program is curriculum based and all students will acquire skills, experiences and confidence with techniques that they may find new and challenging. This program will greatly benefit the progress and outcome of their projects and requirements. It is because of our specialized classes and method of preparation, that our students find themselves among the most prepared and naturally talented artists when submitting their applications and carry forward our flawless success rate since 2003!

$25/hr (2 hour class)

Digital Masters porfolio

Digital Masters
Special Interest Program
Ages 10-13

Façade Academy offers a “Digital Masters: Portfolio Series” workshop ,that will teach students the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop and will equip them with the tools necessary to complete digital pieces towards their portfolio.

This program focuses on helping students learn everything from navigating the software
to creating digital pieces that will take their portfolios to a professional level.

There are 5 workshops offered per set. There is one set offered per term. The required numbers of sets needed is dependent on the student’s specific portfolio.

$375/set of 5 workshops (90 minute class)

Figure Drawing
Special Interest Program
Ages 13+

We are one of the only academies in Vaughan that offers figure drawing with live models. Drawing the human figure involves learning the basics to many skills and techniques in art. It is the main subject matter in illustration, animation, portraiture and photo realism. Having an understanding of the structure and movement of the human form can help artists comprehend many assets of art. It builds observation skills in artists and makes it easier for one to envision design. It is an art form that can only improve with the help of live observation and practice. Our program focuses on the use of a variety of different techniques and mediums, as well as the ability to capture different gestures and expressions of both the male and female form.

$375 - includes 5 workshops + 1 FREE (2-hour class)

Certificate of Achievement

Our Façade Academy Certificate of Professional Achievement is awarded only to select Portfolio Masters students at the completion of their portfolio who display artistic excellence.
