Alessia Maria Agozzino

My name is Alessia Maria Agozzino and I am an 18 year old student with a dream of becoming a successful Interior Designer. Creative, passionate, hardworking and enthusiastic are some of the best words to describe myself, and the words I hope others will know me as also.

I have enrolled in Façade Academy of the Arts with the guidance of Mina to learn the techniques and gain experience so I can prepare myself for an acceptance into an Interior Design Program next year. Ever since I was a little girl I would always have the most fun going into furniture, paint and textiles stores. It would amaze my mind of all the different color swatches and materials on showcase. Now that I am older, I put those things together and create a beautiful ambiance from the pieces I have in front of me. The most important thing to me for is that Interior Design is not only creating a beautiful space, but also making the person feel happy and comfortable in the space they are in, knowing they were in budget and all their needs were meet. The happiness of others comes before myself, and when I know they are happy with the result, that is what success is to me.
I also composed an art piece for the Vaughan International Film Festival and won a scholarship for recognition of hard work; my piece was created for my father who passed away. Losing my father at a young age taught me that life goes on, and you can make your future bright even when things seem dark. You are the one to make decisions in life to succeed and the ones you love are standing beside you every step of the way. For the future I hope to be successful, travel Europe to study and gain knowledge in historical design, achieve a master’s degree in Interior Design as well as open up my own Interior Design Company.
