My name is Brittany Pileggi and I am 18 years old. My passion for fashion began as a kid. I would buy fashion drawing kits and turn my closet into a pretend store. I would be the 8-year-old kid walking around in my mom’s high heels and purses pretending that I was a model. I would buy clothes that were too big and jeans that were too long and pretend I knew how to hem them.
I have always had a passion for fashion but I never expanded my desire till I met Mina. When searching through the possible career choices I could follow at the university fair the Ryerson Fashion Communication program stuck out to me. Realizing that my secret hobby could become a career for me made me realize my true passion for the art. When reading the acceptance requirements I found out that I had to create a portfolio which lead me to discovering Facade. Through all the hard work and scrambling to teach me the proper skills and get my portfolio done in time, Mina taught me valuable lessons. Fashion has always been a passion of mine and through Mina, she showed my how to put the artwork that was in my mind to paper. Through all I have learned at Facade I hope to expand my interest in fashion in the future.
